A really cool Cuban cafe in a cool part of the city. They have a take out counter to the left when you first get in plus a decent sized seating area for that part of town. There’s also a bar in the back to the right when you walk in. Food was good. I had the chicken chipotle sandwich and my wife had the “ropa vieja sandwich” and we both had the cafe con lecha. The sandwiches were delicious and the cafe con lecha was sweet so keep that in mind not to add more sugar. The atmosphere is modern and cozy with an attentive staff. We ended up there after visiting the Contemporary Art Museum so I Highly recommend it if you’re in the area and looking for a quick bite.

Cafecito is a great restaurant. The value for money is really good for how much food you get, and everything tastes great. My only nitpick is that the salad with palm hearts in it has WAY too many palm hearts. Not a huge deal but we didn’t finish it ourselves. Their coffee is also quite good. The coffeecito is nicely sweet but still has rich coffee flavour in it. Indoors, for a breakfast spot, it does get pretty dark depending on where you’re seated. Not really the restaurant’s fault but you forget it’s daytime out until you leave the restaurant. Another nitpick but still worth mentioning. I wish I remember the names of what we got, but all the items pictured were nicely made and served quickly.

This place was very good. Very dim lit and we sat in the back which was really dark. Our waiter, although really nice, only came to see us when we ordered and when it was time to go, despite us letting him know we are waiting for another person. The bartender was able to pick up the slack. Other than that, my food was amazing. I had the guava bbq chicken platter which was amazing. My friends had the chorizo sandwich which was good as well. Coffee was amazing.

Such an amazing spot in Chicago. The Ropa de Papa was absolutely fire. The girls working the counter even hooked me up with a special request creole sauce on the side. Such friendly and inviting staff. Love IT

It was the first time I ever had Cuban food so I asked the waiter for a suggestion and he said to get the steak chimichurri. I'm so glad I listened to him because it was unbelievably good. The service and atmosphere was very nice too. I definitely will be going back there again. I want to try their drinks next.

Had a great dinner here. This is a hidden gem. Food is excellent. The “nachos” use plantains instead of tortillas, and they’re delicious. It’s a great switch-up. I had a bbq pork sandwich which was delicious.

I ordered two coffees and two huevos con chorizo (?) sandwiches. I swear they were the best I've ever had. The sandwiches were about $12 each, coffees about $3. Staff was friendly. Atmosphere was lively. I highly recommend trying those sandwiches. They're so so good.
